Leo and Pisces can be either a tragic or glorious relationship
Leo is a natural leader and in a relationship with Pisces often becomes the guardian of their weaker partner. Pisces, in turn, gives Leo the audience they need for their ambitions and social performances. Pisces is a Sign that, like Water, fills whatever container it is poured into. Pisces tends to give themselves over to their love match; a kind heart allows The Fish to know Leo in a way that many other Signs don’t. Leo’s straight forwardness coupled with that doesn’t pass into conceit — the way Leo alone might act — and isn’t overly shy, like Pisces alone may be.
There are a number of opposite qualities in a Leo and a Pisces and strangely, these differences may work to the advantage of their relationship. The interest of a Piscean is not limited to self like a Leo and he has no desire of competing with anyone. On the other end, we have the Lion, for whom the world gets restricted and who is hardly able to look beyond himself. Thus, he gets the complete attention of the Fish and revels in it. The latter does not even want any portion of the limelight that the former so desires and this becomes another plus point.
This can be either a tragic or glorious relationship. He can certainly be charming and affectionate enough for your taste, and doesn’t mind your domineering or commanding ways, but while you might see that behavior as a sign of loyalty and devotion, to the Pisces Man, it’s because it’s much easier than trying to be dominating himself. Pisces Men have strong intuition and are careful and wonderful listeners, but tend to follow your advice for a while and then return to their own way of doing things, or ignore it completely, which can be infuriating. He is also bent on avoiding pain, and has dislikes arguments; he would rather slip away than be confronted; it’s his top defense strategy. You may find his escapism endearing in the beginning, but frustrating in the long run.
Although undoubtedly romantic and sexual, Leo-Pisces matches vary greatly in long term success rates. You’re very different people, with different priorities and with hugely different levels of confidence and self belief. Can Leo tolerate a Pisces who is too wrapped up in mysteries and forgets to worship him? Can Pisces bear a partner who’s selfish arrogance requires more attention than their own worries and insecurities? Perhaps. Where there is love, there’s always a way. Pisces has much to teach Leo, spiritually, and that would be a good place to start in learning how to make this work.
The Pisces Leo relationship is a complicated one. Leo can understand a blue mood here or there, but cannot relate to the deep dark depression Pisces can slip into. Leo has a pretty even temperament and Pisces moods shift like the sand. When they meet in the right space and time they can connect romantically, but Pisces is never sure what feeling comes next. Leo needs a sense of strength in a partner and Pisces needs space to be alone and sort through the feelings. Both are generous, but Pisces is not really the reliable mate Leo is looking for.
